Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen may have been a pretty poor film but I’m sure one thing that we can agree on was the effects in the movie were bloody brilliant! Like the first movie, those effects were created by a huge host of people who worked for Industrial Light and Magic and Digital Domain. Michael Bay’s third instalment in the franchise, Transformers: Dark of the Moon sees those companies back doing the effects and Paramount have released (via Trailer Addict) a featurette featuring an interview with Industrial Light & Magic visual effects supervisor, Scott Farrar, who discusses the effects that we can expect to see in this third movie.
This third instalment stars Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, John Malkovich, Patrick Dempsey, Ken Jeong, John Turturro, Frances McDormand, Peter Cullen and Tyrese Gibson.
Synopsis: Shia LaBeouf returns as Sam Witwicky in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. When a mysterious event from Earth’s past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us.
The movie will hit both US and UK cinemas on 29th June.
Correction: This featurette is discussing the work ILM did on the first Transformers film – Not “Dark of the Moon”.
