Tony Jaa may not be a name that instantly springs to mind, but that could all change soon for the Thai actor, following his turn in xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
We had the pleasure of sitting down with the martial arts star, who tells us all about his character, and how he fits into this particular universe. He also discusses the collaborative process with Vin Diesel – with the latter citing Jaa as his “lucky charm”, and how he came to be involved in this project.
Jaa went on to discuss the challenges in shooting action sequences using weapons rather than just his hands like he’s used to – and whose idea it was to give the character peroxide blonde hair. Oh, and he also – albeit briefly – showed off his dancing moves. Michael Jackson eat your heart out.

After coming out of self-imposed exile, daredevil operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) must race against time to recover a sinister weapon known as Pandora’s Box, a device that controls every military satellite in the world. Recruiting a new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself entangled in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of government.
