Hitting our screens on New Year’s Day, to mark the release of period drama The Danish Girl, we had the pleasure of sitting down with the man at the helm, Tom Hooper.
We discussed the visual experience the filmmaker is providing the viewer, and why he felt Eddie Redmayne was the perfect fit for the lead role. He also tells us his thoughts on having a female lead instead – with Nicole Kidman linked to the role prior to Redmayne’s casting.
The Danish Girl is released on January 1st.
