The sequel not only brings back fan favourite villain Loki, but will also introduce us to Malekith the Accursed (played by Doctor Who’s Christopher Eccleston). Combine that with one heck of an impressive supporting cast, and we’re in for a treat.
However, there are still plenty of Thor’s other beloved allies and villains who have yet to be given the big screen treatment, and that’s why we’ve come up with a list of just ten of the most worthy! There are of course plenty of other character we could have listed here, so if any of your favourites are missing, be sure to let us know in the comments section below.
When Loki died saving Asgard, fans thought that the end had finally come for the mischievous trickster. However, Loki being Loki, he found a way to save himself; by returning in the body of a child.
At first, this younger version of the character did his best to fight for good and to help his brother Thor, but the evil adult Loki would later regain control of that body when it was revealed that Ikol – the crow who had been giving the youngster advice – was in fact the original Loki just waiting for the opportunity to regain his physical form.
That may sound confusing, and it may be heart-breaking for some of you to imagine Loki without Tom Hiddleston, but you can’t deny that there’s the potential for a great story here. This young Loki has become a fan favourite character and even leads the current team of Young Avengers.
