The World’s Biggest Flash Mob in Opening Sequence of Step Up Revolution

1

Step Up Revolution, the fourth instalment in the successful dance film series, is hitting theatres across the world over the next few weeks, and now Summit have released the opening three minutes of the film, featuring the biggest flash mob you’ve ever seen.

Kathryn McCormick and Ryan Guzman make their leading debuts, with Adam G. Sevani reprising his role as Moose from the second and third films.

“Emily (McCormick), the daughter of a wealthy businessman, arrives in Miami with aspirations of becoming a professional dancer, but soon falls in love with Sean (Guzman), a young man who leads a dance crew in elaborate, cutting-edge flash mobs.  The crew, called the MOB, strives to win a contest for a major sponsorship opportunity, but soon Emily’s father threatens to develop the MOB’s historic neighbourhood and displace thousands of people.  Emily must band together with Sean and the MOB to turn their performance mobs into protest mobs, and risk losing their dreams to fight for a greater cause.”

Scott Speer is behind the camera this time around, directing from a script by Jenny Mayer, with Jon M. Chu serving as producer.

Step Up Revolution will hit cinemas in the US next Friday, 27th July, followed by a UK release on 10th August. Here’s a taste of the choreography you’ve got to look forward to.

  1. Not really a ‘Flash Mob’ though is it, seeing as all the ‘bystanders’ are actors.
Also not really the ‘Worlds Biggest’ as there is only about 20 dancers. The T-Mobile one in a train station would be ‘Bigger’, i.e. use more people, in my opinion.
