Before that can happen, however, Twilight: Breaking Dawn needs to cast Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen’s (Robert Pattinson) hybrid offspring, and, according to EW, the film-makers may have done just that.

Entertainment Weekly are reporting that newcomer Mackenzie Foy is “inches away” from signing on to the two-parter in the role of Renesmee. The character will play an important role in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II, having aged 17 years in a mere 7. Is it just me or are vampire/human hybrids are getting weirder and weirder?

While there is talk of using Benjamin Button-esque technology to digitally transfer the face of Foy onto a younger child, it is likely that she will still wind up sharing the role with another actress.

Having starred in an episode apiece of FlashForward and ‘Til Death, it is not yet known what the TwiHards will make of this bit of casting news.
