We’re days away from the world premiere of one of the most anticipated reunions of the year. John Carpenter returns to Haddonfield with Jamie Lee Curtis to make us all terrified of Halloween once again. There’s a new trailer out in the wild today, giving us a good idea about what we are to expect.

The new film was directed by David Gordon Green, who co-wrote the screenplay alongside Jeff Fradley and Danny McBride. It is the eleventh film in the franchise and picks up forty years after the events of the original film essentially disregarding the continuity of the previous sequels. Carpenter was also on hand as a consultant as well as creating the score, which is reason as any to be very excited.

Castwise Jamie Lee-Curtis reprises her role as Laurie Strode, Judy Greer plays Karen Strode and James Jude Courtney and Nick Castle as Michael Myers / The Shape. Also on the cast are Andi Matichak, Will Patton and Virginia Gardner.
