Written by Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller, The Muppets was directed by James Bobin, and stars Segel, Amy Adams, Chris Cooper, Rashida Jones, alongside a host of famous guest stars.
With the help of three fans, the Muppets must reunite in order to save their old studio from a greedy oil tycoon.
The trailer, which premiered in front of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides over the weekend, was originally kept offline as Disney executives believed it would play better in large audiences on the biggest screen possible.
The Muppets will be released in the UK on February 12, 2012, almost four months after it hits US screens.
