Entertainment Film Distributors has released the official teaser trailer for ‘The Magic Faraway Tree,’ inviting audiences back into the enchanting world of Enid Blyton’s beloved children’s classic. The film, adapted by Simon Farnaby (Paddington 2, Wonka) and directed by Ben Gregor (Black Ops, Brassic), swings into UK and Ireland cinemas on 27 March 2026.
Set in the remote English countryside, the story follows Polly (Claire Foy), Tim (Andrew Garfield) and their three children as they leave behind their busy city lives for a quieter — and unexpectedly magical — fresh start. While adjusting to their new home, the children stumble upon a towering, mystical tree that leads them to an extraordinary realm teeming with wonder.
Nicola Coughlan portrays the kind-hearted Silky, Jessica Gunning takes on the endlessly energetic Dame Washalot, and Dustin Demri-Burns appears as the delightfully clumsy Saucepan Man.
The teaser offers glimpses of the family’s whimsical adventures as they ascend the magical tree, where each new world at its summit promises dazzling visuals, eccentric characters and heartfelt lessons. Through their escapades, the family begins to rediscover connection, joy and what truly matters.
The cast also includes Mark Heap, Oliver Chris, Sir Lenny Henry, Sir Michael Palin, Sir Simon Russell Beale with Jennifer Saunders and Rebecca Ferguson
