Apple TV has released the chilling first trailer for ‘The Hunt’ (Traqués), the upcoming French-language psychological thriller from César Award-nominated filmmaker Cédric Anger (Next Time I’ll Aim for the Heart).
Led by Cannes Best Actor and three-time César winner Benoît Magimel (Pacifiction, De son vivant) and two-time César Award winner Mélanie Laurent (Inglourious Basterds, Wingwomen), the series promises a gripping, slow-burning descent into paranoia, guilt, and survival.
The series follows Franck (Magimel), who spends weekends hunting with his close-knit group of friends. But when they cross paths with another group of armed hunters, the outing turns into a nightmare. The strangers inexplicably begin targeting them, and after one of Franck’s friends is shot, the men retaliate — leaving one attacker down. Terrified, the group flees the scene and swears to keep the incident secret.
As Franck attempts to resume his quiet life with his wife Krystel (Laurent), he begins to sense that something — or someone — is watching them. What begins as unease quickly escalates into a deadly game of pursuit, as the hunters become the hunted.
Rounding out the cast are Damien Bonnard, Manuel Guillot, Cédric Appietto, Angelyna Danabe-Mignot, Paul Beaurepaire, Yann Goven, Sarah Pachoud, and Patrick De Vallette.
Tense, atmospheric, and unrelenting, The Hunt (Traqués) explores the thin line between instinct and violence, friendship and betrayal — and what happens when survival becomes the only rule left.
