Hulu has dropped the first teaser trailer for the satirical, comedic drama ‘The Great’ starring Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult.
The series follows Elle Fanning as Catherine The Great, as a young woman who becomes the wife of the young and rather inept ruler of Russia (Nicholas Hoult). While she’s not very experienced in things such as ruling and being a proper lady, she does have higher aspirations and soon sets her sights set on the throne.
Even though the show is based on one of Russia’s longest-reigning ruler’s Hulu are quick to note that it has “only occasional historical facts “.
If the aesthetic feels familiar that would be because the show is written by the scribe who penned ‘The Favourite’, Tony McNamara.
Phoebe Fox, Adam Godley, Gwilym Lee, Charity Wakefield, Douglas Hodge, Sacha Dhawan, Sebastian de Souza, Bayo Gbadamosi, and Belinda Bromilow star alongside Fanning and Hoult.
