Prime Video has unveiled the first teaser for its gripping new psychological thriller ‘The Girlfriend.’
A twisted tale of obsession, suspicion, and maternal instinct gone awry. Robin Wright leads the series as Laura, a woman who seemingly has it all—a high-powered career, a devoted husband (Waleed Zuaiter), and her beloved son Daniel (Laurie Davidson).
But everything unravels when Daniel brings home Cherry (Olivia Cooke), the enigmatic new girlfriend who threatens to dismantle Laura’s picture-perfect world. As Laura becomes increasingly suspicious of Cherry’s true motives, her quest for answers spirals into a dangerous obsession—one that could cost her everything.
Based on the bestselling novel by Michelle Frances, the six-episode series is created by Gabbie Asher and Naomi Sheldon, with Wright also serving as executive producer and stepping behind the camera to direct select episodes.
The series also features a powerhouse supporting cast including Anna Chancellor, Francesca Corney, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Karen Henthorn, Leo Suter, and Tanya Moodie.
