Something has happened. I don’t know what but all of a sudden, two big budget Hollywood Superhero movies have started filming in the UK. Don’t get me wrong, this is amazing news, it’s just a bit odd. Seeing set images coming in daily from the Manchester shoot of Captain America: The First Avenger is fantastic yet bizarre and now today, we get to see the first set images from X-Men: First Class appear as they film in Oxford.
The images come from our friends over at BleedingCool.com who spotted scenes being shot in the historic city. They saw Oxford dressed up to look like the 1960’s with bus signs made to look older, extras and period dress and James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Rose Byrne and Moira McTaggart all on set.
X-Men: First Class is being directed by Matthew Vaughn and is due for release some time in 2011.
