The First Poster for Henry’s Crime Starring Keanu Reeves

8

A couple of days ago we were the first to post the new trailer for Keanu Reeves’ new movie, Henry’s Crime and today Entertainment Films have sent over the poster. Henry’s Crime is set for release January 14th. We’re lucky enough to be interviewing Keanu next week so if you have any questions you’d like us to try and ask, please feel free to send them through or add them into the comments section below.

Henry’s Crime also also stars Vera Farmiga and James Caan and sees Henry (Reeves) escape from prison to commit the crime that he never committed in the first place!

Have a read of the synopsis below for more info or scroll down to view the poster.

Synopsis: Working the night shift as a toll collector on a lonely stretch of highway in Buffalo, New York, Henry (KEANU REEVES) is a man without ambition, dreams or purpose. He gets his wakeup call early one morning when he becomes an unwitting participant in an ill-conceived bank heist.

Rather than give up the names of the real culprits, Henry takes the fall and goes to jail. There, he meets the irrepressible Max (JAMES CAAN), a con man who’s grown far too comfortable with the familiarity and security of his ‘idyllic’ life behind bars. He’s not about to leave prison. But he helps plant an idea in Henry’s mind that will change his life forever.

Upon his release one year later, Henry finds his purpose. Having done the time, he decides he may as well do the crime. Discovering a long forgotten bootlegger’s tunnel, which runs from the very same bank to a theater across the alleyway, he recruits his reluctant former cellmate to stage a robbery. Their plan is simple: By infiltrating the theater and its current production of “The Cherry Orchard,” the unlikely duo will buy just enough time to dig their way to the bank vault and drive off into the sunset. Unfortunately, that plan also includes Henry taking the lead role in the play, where he finds himself slowly falling for the production’s mercurial leading lady, Julie (VERA FARMIGA).

  1. I love this trailer – thanks for sharing – I’m sure this movie would be a lot of fun. I just wonder if Keanu would be interested in a real comedy. I sure he is a funny guy and I would love him to make me laugh.

  2. I would like to know how they’ll proceed with Henry’s Crime now that it will be released in the UK. Is there a chance for a release in other European Countries? (let’s say, Germany?) Or is there a DVD release planned in the near future?
How deep is he involved in the production of Tai Chi Tiger in terms of private funds?
Can he describe his project about a documentation in more detail?
How is the book he discussed with Steidl Verlag going?
I would love to know more about the production work he is involved in.

  3. How did the collaboration with the German Steidl Verlag for “Ode to happiness” come to pass? How and about doing what exactly did they approach him? Since when does this project run and is there already an aproximate release date set (meaning: which year ;-)?

I read “Passengers” two years ago on a Friday afternoon in my office at work, with my boss present – tricky, agreed – but the script was more than worth it. The only question: WHEN, WHEN, WHEN? PLEASE!

One silly question in the end:
How about the motorbike census. Around it the time of “Lake House” he said he had five. Changes? Just curious.

    Thank you.

    Silly questione at lea

  4. Hi there! I’m a Turkish fan, HC trailer looks great and I’m looking forward to seeing it, will it be released outside UK and US? I’ve read in a fansite that in Turkey it will be released in 2011 by Pinema distribution company, could Keanu confirm it?

  5. Hiya! Will it be released in Ireland? I would love to see Keanu doing more romantic comedies like Something’s Gotta Give , what are his future projects, any more romantic comedies?

  6. Here’s my question to Keanu: He played Hamlet in Canada many years ago and in HC he’s a Chekhov play, has he enjoyed playing Chekhov, will we see Keanu on stage anytime soon? And what was the last play he has seen? Many thanks!!! theatrechick

  7. Keanu, in Japan you got some socks as a present. Do you have any idea WHY you got it and what have you done with this nice present?
