Six months ago, Taron Egerton was a name you may not have heard but the talented Welsh actor has shot to stardom after appearing in both Testament of Youth and when he took on the lead role in Kingsman: The Secret Service for director Matthew Vaughn.
His next project is one that is quite an odd one no matter which way you look at it as he stars as ski jumping wannabe Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards – the man who took on the world to become the first British Ski Jump champion at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary.
The movie also stars Hugh Jackman who put this photo on his Instagram account earlier today. We’re not quite sure what angle the movie will take or how it’ll be received by we’re hoping for big things from this new British talent.
The movie is titled Eddie the Eagle directed by the awesome Dexter Fletcher.
