First of all there was a random noise on the new Dark Knight Rises website which if you put into a visual spectrum created the hashtag #thefirerises which somehow created this image. I still don’t really understand it but please can someone cleverer than me (that is anyone) explain it in the comments below!
Without further ado, here is the first image of Tom Hardy as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises looking absolutely massive!
The hashtag led to TheFireRises user on Twitter who linked to thedarkknightrises.com/image on their website. By tweeting #TheFireRises you unlocked a square on the site. A user called The Basterd on superherohype.com forums decided to look up the page source in firefox instead, and produced the image early.
