The Avengers European Premiere Interview: Marvel President Kevin Feige Gives Studios Updates

3

Earlier this evening we headed down to the capital of movie glamour that is The Westfield Centre in Shepard’s Bush, for the European Premiere of Avengers Assemble. We’ll be running our full coverage shortly, but we thought you might want to see this as soon as we could get it to you – our interview with Avengers producer, and Marvel Studios head, Kevin Feige.

We managed to snag a good chunk of time with the man, during which I got a little bit carried away, and allowed my combined love of Marvel Comics and character and franchise rights licensing to lead to some of the more technical questions Feige fielded during his time in the UK.

Still, he gave us an idea of what’s planned for the future, as well as some fairly detailed information about when Ant Man will begin filming. He also spoke about just why they chose not to use The Skrulls in the film, as well as answering one of the questions that has plagued me personally, if not fandom in general – just who owns the rights to The Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

Check out the video below for something of a Marvel Studios infodump.

  1. Anyone know if they will add to the characters Avengers Ant Man and Wasp, for the next production?
There was some comment of directors?
After all, without these characters so striking loses a little graça.Mas the movie is great.
    Congratulations!

After all, without these as important and memorable characters, the film loses a little grace.
These were characters that gave the saga of early Avengers are the originals.
To change something that worked so well.
But the movie is great, wonderful, worth seeing, review, without getting tired.
    Congratulations!

  3. If Ant-Man comes out before Avengers I wouldn’t doubt him and Wasp would be in it, but I believe Ant-Man is set to be released later in 2015 AFTER the Avengers…
