Mark-Ruffalo-and-Gwyneth-Paltrow-in-Thanks-for-SharingStuart Blumberg’s Thanks for Sharing is, hands down, one of the best films I’ve ever seen. I was fortunate enough to see it screen at TIFF last September, and have been looking forward to a repeat viewing so much since then.

The film instantly became an all-time favourite for me out in Toronto. And with its September release date fast approaching, Lionsgate have (finally, it feels like) released the first trailer, via Yahoo Movies, and it instantly reminds me of how brilliant a film it really is – you can read our five-star review here.

From Academy Award®-nominated screenwriter and first-time director Stuart Blumberg (THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT), THANKS FOR SHARING is a sharply comic and deeply moving look at a new kind of modern family, as a group of friends in recovery learns to face life together with heart, humor and humility.

Academy Award-nominee Mark Ruffalo, Academy Award-winner Tim Robbins and Broadway star Josh Gad (“The Book of Mormon”) anchor a stellar ensemble that includes Academy Award-winner Gwyneth Paltrow and pop star Alecia Moore (“Get the Party Started”) in her first film role.

Mark Ruffalo, Tim Robbins, and Josh Gad lead the all-star cast, with Gwyneth Paltrow, Alecia ‘Pink’ Moore, Patrick Fugit, Joely Richardson, and Isiah Whitlock, Jr. completing the ensemble nicely.

Blumberg (The Kids Are All Right) makes his feature directorial debut here, directing from a script he co-wrote with Matt Winston. And to top it all off, Edward Norton serves as executive producer.

Thanks for Sharing is set to be released in the UK on 13th September, with its US release date following a week later on September 20th. I cannot wait. You will love this movie.
