Beloved filmmaker, Taika Waititi has teamed up with the Roald Dahl Story Company and a few of his celebrity friends to partake in a Roald Dahl read through to help raise funds for Partners in Health.
Over the course of 10 episodes, Waititi will be joined by Utkarsh Ambudkar, Cate Blanchett, Jamie Cullum, Benedict Cumberbatch, Roman Griffin Davis, Cara Delevingne, Cynthia Erivo, Beanie Feldstein, Josh Gad, Chris Hemsworth, Liam Hemsworth, Mindy Kaling, Nick Kroll, Kumail Nanjiani, Lupita Nyong’o, Sarah Paulson, Billy Porter, Gordon Ramsay, Eddie Redmayne, Ryan Reynolds, Ben Schwartz, Meryl Streep, Tessa Thompson, Olivia Wilde, Ruth Wilson and Archie Yates, with a select number of celebrities still to be announced for the read-through of ‘James and the Gaint Peach’.
Each episode will feature the stars of Film and TV from the comfort of their own home.
In the first episode – available now over on the Roald Dahl Company Youtube channel – Taika is joined by Chris Hemsworth, Liam Hemsworth and Nick Kroll as they start this ever so exciting story and read Chapters 1 – 4 of James and the Giant Peach.
