It goes without saying that Paranormal Activity, The Exorcism of Emily Rose and so forth are ripe for spoofing, but crikey. This is ghastly, stupid, incoherent film-making of the worst kind. There is a film crew following Dealer’s crew, for reasons that might have been explained but probably not very well, half way through the film changes from spoofing Paranormal Activity to spoofing The Exorcism of Emily Rose (but she’s called Emily Sunflower this time – see what they did there!), presumably because they ran out of ideas and at the end lines and origami from Bladerunner are employed, before someone sets an Inception spinning top going. Oh my giddy aunt.
Rubbish jokes and a lack of anything resembling a plot have become standard for this genre, ever since Scary Movie gave birth to Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, Vampires Suck and the rest. This seems perversely determined to up the ante on such horrendous insults to cinema with utter nonsense from start to finish, before alluding to two of the finest sci-fi films of the past 30 years for no other reason that a vague sense of recognition. One is left wondering why and how this film was made, who thought it would be a good idea apart from the people in it and why anyone saw fit to inflict it on the world at large. I appreciate that the worth of all artistic endeavours are in the eye of the beholder, but seriously, this is horrible, cretinous drivel and deserves to disappear forever, never to be heard from again.
Since it has no characterisation, no plot and only the barest semblance of a script, there seems little point in evaluating it on those criteria. Avoid like the plague. Or rent it here if you enjoy pain.

Don’t look now but, I just saw your giddy aunt leaving the pub with dealer himself! I heard her say she is to sniff his sunflowers! A Crikey to the crotchy, ol boy!
Thanks for reviewing Supernatural Activity, Dave. I’m sure it wasn’t easy to watch, but this is just the film I have been looking for. I have a contest with a few of my coworkers at DISH, to see who can find the best/worst movies released each week. When I saw this movie, I knew we had a good contender for the worst. I added it to the top of my DISH Blockbuster @Home rental queue on Tuesday, and I should have it for Saturdays viewing. To be honest, I love a good spoof, but I have no expectations of that here.
