This question has also occurred to a talented artist who has spliced in the joyous, dreamlike characters of the very best Studio Ghibli films against real life backdrops and the result is stunning. The debonair Porco Rosso, Totoro and the Catbus, the train-dwelling denizens of Spirited Away and many more are all present and correct in this great video.
The Korean video artist in question goes by the name of DirectorDT on Vimeo, and while the majority of his videos capture the everyday life of his home country this beautiful piece of work adds a dash of Miyazaki magic.
