The Peanuts Movie director Steve Martino gives HeyUGuys a Snoopy-themed art class

Have you ever wondered how you can draw Snoopy? Because we have. So thankfully, we were lucky enough to be taught from Steve Martino – the director at the helm of the very first time the beloved characters have hit the big screen, in Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie.

Ignore the part where we drew an out of place line right through Snoopy’s ankle, and I’m sure you’ll agree that we did a pretty good job. Particularly as HeyUGuys’ very own Stefan Pape isn’t the most adept at drawing. His words.

Having been give our art class (went pretty well, right?) we then asked Martino a few questions on the movie itself, and on maintaining the tone and essence of the animation we’ve all love and enjoy. You can see part two of our time with the filmmaker below.

Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie is released on December 21st, and you can read our review here.
