It was recently revealed that Godzilla director Gareth Edwards’ Star Wars spinoff will be titled Star Wars: Rogue One and that The Theory of Everything’s Felicty Jones is set to play an unrevealed character. However, it appears as yet another casting addition has been made as production begins to ramp up.

Australian actor Ben Mendelsohn has delivered a number of memorable (but usually fairly small) performances in everything from Killing Them Softly to The Dark Knight Rises and Starred Up.

There’s obviously no word on who he will be playing at this point, but this is a great addition to the Star Wars spinoff and a sign that Disney and Lucasfilm are filling out the cast with some quality actors.

Academy Award winning scribe Chris Weitz is currently rewriting Gary Whitta’s original draft. It was also recently revealed that Alexandre Desplat (Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows) will score the movie.

It’s still not clear just how accurate those reports of Star Wars: Rogue One focusing on a group of bounty hunters hired by the Rebels to steal the plans of the first Death Star are. Which characters do we hope end up making it into the highly anticipated 2016 spinoff? Well, you can find that out by clicking right here!
