Marvel have released two more character posters for James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy today, giving Star-Lord (Jurassic World star Chris Pratt) and Drax the Destroyer (WWE Superstar turned actor Dave Bautista) the spotlight. Disappointingly, the former reuses a previously seen image of the lead character, but we do at least get a new look at Drax and both his very impressive body art and knives!

It’s not clear whether the studio will finish this week off with a couple of posters focusing on villains like Nebula (Karen Gillan), Ronan the Destroyer (Lee Pace) or perhaps even Josh Brolin’s Thanos, so we’re just going to have to wait and see. These two posters complete the main team of heroes though.

With the San Diego Comic-Con just around the corner and around six weeks to go until the release of Guardians of the Galaxy in cinemas, expect Marvel to start ramping up promotion for what many have claimed is their riskiest movie yet. As always, stay tuned to HeyUGuys for all the latest Marvel news!

Quill Drax

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro, Guardians of the Galaxy is set to be released on August 1st in the US and July 31st in the UK.
