Two distinguished names from the supporting actor world are on board for Bryan Singer’s long-awaited rejig of the Jack and the Beanstalk legend, Jack the Giant Killer.

The Wrap are reporting that Stanley Tucci and our very own Bill Nighy will join the cast, which is still waiting on the announcement of a lead, although Aaron Johnson’s name has cropped up a number of times in the past. As the film is scheduled to begin production in London this March, that piece of casting can’t be too far away from being revealed.

In the story of a long-standing peace between humans and giants which comes under threat when a human princess is kidnapped and taken to the giants’ kingdom, Nighy will play Fallon, the leader of the giants, whilst Tucci is set to take on more overtly villainess role of Roderick, an adviser to the king.
