Prime Video has dropped the official trailer for ‘Spider-Noir,’ a brooding, shadow-drenched reimagining of the Marvel universe, with Nicolas Cage stepping into his first leading television role. The series swings into action globally on 27th May.
The trailer made its world premiere at the bustling Centro Banamex Convention Centre during CCXPMX26, where a crowd of 2,100 fans soaked in the first glimpse of this stylised world.
Cast members, including Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Jack Huston, and Karen Rodriguez, joined creator and co-showrunner Oren Uziel on stage to introduce the series. Fans were also treated to an extended scene and a special video greeting from Cage himself.
Inspired by the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir, ‘Spider-Noir’ follows Ben Reilly (Cage), a weathered private investigator navigating the rain-slicked streets of 1930s New York.
Haunted by a deeply personal tragedy, Reilly is pulled back into a past he’d rather forget, as he balances his role as the city’s lone masked vigilante. Expect trench coats, moral grey zones, and justice delivered with a side of existential dread.
Joining Cage is an impressive ensemble, including Lamorne Morris (Fargo, New Girl), Li Jun Li (Babylon), Abraham Popoola (Slow Horses), Karen Rodriguez (Acapulco), Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire), and Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin)
The guest roster adds even more intrigue, featuring talents like Lukas Haas and Cameron Britton, among others.
‘Spider-Noir’ is produced by Sony Pictures Television for MGM+ and Prime Video. The first two episodes are directed and executive produced by Emmy-winning filmmaker Harry Bradbeer, known for his work on ‘Fleabag’ and ‘Killing Eve.’
