MGM+ has dropped the adrenaline-soaked trailer for ‘Spartacus: House of Ashur,’ the outrageous new chapter in the ‘Spartacus’ universe.

In this reimagined world, where power, passion, and destiny collide, viewers are thrust back into the visceral brutality of Ancient Rome with the shocking resurrection of the once-defeated Ashur — played once again by Nick E. Tarabay (Spartacus, The Expanse). But this time, Ashur returns as Dominus, master of his own house. Fueled by vengeance and ruthless ambition, he claws his way from betrayal and bloodshed to establish the House of Ashur — a new empire of violence, desire, and dangerous loyalty.

The trailer teases a stunning lineup of new gladiators, schemers, and enemies. Among them: Graham McTavish (The Witcher, House of the Dragon) as the hardened gladiator trainer Korris; Tenika Davis (Jupiter’s Legacy, Cabinet of Curiosities) as the relentless gladiatrix Achillia; and Jordi Webber (Choose Love, Prosper) as the ambitious Tarchon. Expanding the Roman political battlefield, Jackson Gallagher (My Life Is Murder, NCIS: Sydney) steps in as Julius Caesar alongside Jaime Slater (Daredevil, Pacific Rim: Uprising) as his wife, Cornelia.

‘Spartacus: House of Ashur’ takes the franchise’s signature blend of blood, lust, and political intrigue to ferocious new heights. The series dares to ask: What if Ashur had lived — and the Romans rewarded his treachery with the gladiator school where he once bled? Now no longer a slave, Ashur rules the same ludus that once owned him. But power in Rome comes at a cost. In this savage new world, betrayal isn’t a sin — it’s currency.

In addition to Tarabay, McTavish, Davis, Webber, Gallagher, and Slater, the trailer also spotlights Jamaica Vaughan (Home and Away, 800 Words) as Hilara; Ivana Baquero (Pan’s Labyrinth, The Shannara Chronicles) as Messia; Claudia Black (The Nevers, Ahsoka) as Cossutia; India Shaw-Smith (The Pines Still Whisper, Supernatural) as Viridia; and Leigh Gill (Joker, Game of Thrones) as Satyrus.

From ‘Spartacus’ creator, writer, and executive producer Steven S. DeKnight (Daredevil), ‘Spartacus: House of Ashur’ promises a thrilling, erotic, and history-bending roller coaster of vengeance and spectacle that reignites the spirit of the original phenomenon — and redefines it for a new era.
