Sophie Turner’s career is going from strength to strength. After impressing critics and viewers alike on a year basis in Game of Thrones, the actress was recently cast as Jean Grey in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse.

In the following video interview, she talks about what’s to come in season five of the hit HBO drama, making it clear that no one is safe. Turner also comments on the IMAX plans for Game of Thrones which will see the final two episodes of season four on the big screen along with the first trailer for the next run of episodes.

As for X-Men: Apocalypse, Turner looks back on finding out she would be playing Jean Grey (like the rest of us, it was via Twitter) and had the following to say about following in the footsteps of Famke Janssen.

“She was amazing. So, I’m really trying to emulate her, because she did such a great job and I just hope I do justice to this incredible character.” The British actress then goes on to describe her excitement to be working alongside Tye Sheridan – he plays Cyclops – but reveals that she’s not sure when filming begins.

Many fans weren’t pleased with how characters like Cyclops and Jean Grey were portrayed the first time around, but hopefully Turner gets the right sort of material to do the character justice in X-Men: Apocalypse!
