Apple TV has released the official trailer for the highly anticipated third season of ‘Silo’, the acclaimed dystopian drama from Emmy Award-winning creator, showrunner and executive producer Graham Yost. Led by and executive produced by Rebecca Ferguson, the hit adaptation of Hugh Howey’s bestselling trilogy is set to return this summer with a story that expands the scope of the series dramatically.
The newly released trailer offers the first glimpse at a season that will explore both the future and the distant past of the mysterious underground civilisation. While continuing the story of Juliette Nichols and the survivors living within the silo, Season 3 will also reveal the origins of the world-shaping events that led humanity underground centuries earlier.
In the present timeline, Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson) survives her forced “cleaning” and returns to the silo, but with significant memory loss. As the community struggles to rebuild following the rebellion, a dangerous new threat emerges that could place the future of all 10,000 residents in jeopardy.
At the same time, the series journeys back to the “Before Times,” introducing journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman). As the pair uncover a far-reaching conspiracy, they become entangled in a chain of events that will ultimately shape the fate of humanity and trigger catastrophic, irreversible consequences.
The returning ensemble cast includes Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Rick Gomez, Billy Postlethwaite and Clare Perkins.
Joining the cast for Season 3 are Ashley Zukerman and Jessica Henwick, who made their debut in the Season 2 finale, alongside Laura Innes, Jessica Brown Findlay, Morven Christie, Reed Birney and Matt Craven. Colin Hanks will recur throughout the season, while Steve Zahn is also set to return.
The third season consists of 10 episodes and arrives after Apple TV previously renewed the series for a fourth and final season, ensuring the complete adaptation of Hugh Howey’s acclaimed literary saga.
