Vampires are everywhere, with Fright Night and the new Twilight just two of the fang-friendly films coming our way, along with the one we’re all waiting for: Ninjas Vs. Vampires, it’s now such an accepted convention that we now no longer require any suspension of disbelief.

Enter into the ring Amy Heckerling, whose Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Clueless and I Could Never Be Your Woman (well, I liked it), give the forthcoming vampire rom-com film Vamps a decent amount of expectation and momentum, and today the film’s Facebook page has unveiled some tasty set pictures including one of star Sigourney Weaver looking a little like her role in Ghostbusters, albeit a touch more vampiric.

Synopsis? Why, certainly…

When two sexy female vampires living it up in modern-day New York City each falls in love with a human, they must make a choice that will jeopardize their immortality—and maybe much more. Written and directed by Amy Heckerling (Clueless, Fast Times at Ridgemont High), VAMPS is a comedy-fantasy-romance that puts a fresh and hilariously upbeat twist on the vampire genre.
