There have been rumours for a while now that The Shocker will make an appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and some new set photos have surfaced offering up a first look at the villain. Apparently, it’s Fargo’s Bokeem Woodbine in the suit, but that’s unconfirmed.
In the comic books, Shocker is a villain who has a pair of gauntlets that, when activated by a thumb trigger, can project a concentrated blast of air that is vibrated at an intense frequency.
He’s a C-List bad guy, and has often been portrayed as a recurring joke when facing off with the wall-crawler. How significant a role Shocker will have in Spider-Man: Homecoming isn’t clear, but fans have been hoping that he’ll make his big screen debut for years now.
Going back to the rumour mill and it’s been said that the villain will have two different costumes in Spider-Man: Homecoming, with the second created by The Tinkerer.
Spider-Man: Homecoming stars Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Logan Marshall-Green, Donald Glover, Kenneth Choi, Hannibal Buress, Michael Mando, Bokeem Woodbine, Abraham Attah, Angourie Rice, Martin Starr, Michael Barbieri, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Zendaya, Jon Favreau, and almost countless others (it features quite the ensemble). The movie is currently set to be released on July 7th, next year.
