The quest for immortality is a staple of science fiction. The body-swapping conceit has also been used time and time again for Big-style growing up shenanigans as well as alternate lifestyle comedies. Ryan Reynolds himself starred in Change-Up however there’s a more serious tone to this one, Tarsem Singh’s Selfless, which got its first trailer today.
The story goes. Rich man was to live forever, a shadowy company can help him, cue your new body, the RyReyn model, wrapped in plastic and ready to go at the choke of a cat. Of course, things go wrong.
Morality, guns, chasing and the duality of mind and body collide in a furious and (obviously) gorgeous looking cinematic thrills with this one. Check it out for yourself,
