This August will see the release of Lucy, the latest film from The Fifth Element director Luc Besson. In the movie, Scarlett Johansson (who most recently starred in Under the Skin and Captain America: The Winter Soldier) plays a young woman granted extraordinary abilities after being forced into becoming a drug mule.
It’s those narcotics which turn Lucy into an incredible fighter capable of clairvoyance, telekinesis, along with an ability to disregard pain and emotion when any of the designer drugs enters her system.
The first trailer for the movie is only a couple of days away, but for now, Entertainment Weekly have unveiled the first official image of Scarlett Johansson as the titular character. Lucy also stars Morgan Freeman and Analeigh Tipton, and is currently set for a release on August 8th, 2014.
