An official first look at the cast in costume has been unveiled for director Sam Mendes’ ambitious four-part ‘Beatles’ film series at Sony Pictures, offering fans their clearest glimpse yet at the Fab Four as they will appear on screen.
The reveal came via an inventive social media campaign from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, which shared exclusive postcards tied to the four films. In a nod to Beatles-era playfulness, students and fans were sent on a campus-wide bounty hunt to track them down. Each card showcased a costume test photo, spotlighting Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr.

Titled ‘The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event,’ the project will consist of four individual movies, each centred on one member of the band, with Mendes directing all instalments. Rather than a single sweeping biopic, the films are designed to unfold from the perspective of each Beatle. It is believed the band’s history will be presented sequentially, with each film focusing on a distinct period of their journey.
Beyond the core quartet, the ensemble cast fills out the Beatles’ orbit with an impressive lineup. Saoirse Ronan will portray Linda McCartney, James Norton takes on the role of manager Brian Epstein, and Mia McKenna-Bruce stars as Maureen Starkey. Anna Sawai appears as Yoko Ono, Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd, and Harry Lloyd as legendary producer George Martin.
Also joining the cast are David Morrissey as Jim McCartney, Leanne Best as Mimi Smith, Bobby Schofield as Neil Aspinall, Daniel Hoffmann-Gill as Mal Evans, Arthur Darvill as Derek Taylor, and Adam Pally as Allen Klein.
All four films are set for a simultaneous global theatrical release on April 7th, 2028
