Rupert Friend (Obi-Wan KenobiCompanion) has joined Lily James and Raffey Cassidy (The BrutalistThe Killing of a Sacred Deer) in Spencer and Lloyd Harvey’s directorial feature debut ‘Photo Booth.’

Joining as the male lead is Friend, he will star in the emotional thriller as Ben, Lily James’ husband. Ben is a talented portrait artist living in his successful wife’s and famous father’s shadow. He finds himself caught up in a messy but charged triangle between his wife, who is desperate for a child, and the young waitress (Cassidy) he has a child.

Cathy Konrad (Girl Interrupted, Walk the Line) and her Tree Line Films, Lily James & Gala Gordon’s Parodos Productions (upcoming Swiped and Cliffhanger), will partner with Australian-based Carver Films, Sarah Shaw and Anna McLeish (Relic, Run Rabbit Run).

It was announced at the start of May that Lily James would produce and star alongside Raffey Cassidy, while HanWay films and UTA Independent Film Group boarded sales launching in Cannes ahead of the film’s start of principal photography this October in Australia and London.

Friend’s upcoming projects also include Wes Anderson’s ‘The Phoenician Scheme,’ which is premiering at Cannes this year, the latest instalment in the ‘Jurassic Park’ franchise, ‘Jurassic World Rebirth,’ Michel Franco’s ‘Dreams’ premiering later this year, and Lucio Castro’s ‘After His Death.’
