MGM+ has released the official trailer for its sweeping new adventure drama series ‘Robin Hood,’ reimagining the legendary tale with a bold new vision. The series will premiere on Sunday, 2nd November 2025, debuting with two episodes before rolling out weekly, culminating in the season finale on Sunday, 28th December 2025.
Brimming with romance, rebellion, and high-stakes drama, ‘Robin Hood’ infuses modern energy into the timeless story of the outlaw hero who stole from the rich to give to the poor. At its heart, the series is as much a passionate love story as it is an epic saga of justice, focusing on the powerful bond between Rob and Marian as they fight for freedom in a fractured England.
Set in the aftermath of the Norman invasion, the story follows Rob, the son of a Saxon forester, and Marian, the daughter of a Norman lord, whose unlikely love transcends cultural divides. As Rob rises to lead a band of rebel outlaws in Sherwood, Marian leverages her position at court to challenge corruption from within. Together, they risk everything to dismantle tyranny and restore peace to the realm.
From Lionsgate Television, Robin Hood comes from co-creators and executive producers John Glenn and Jonathan English (who also directed the pilot), alongside executive producer Todd Lieberman of Hidden Pictures.
The series boasts a stellar cast led by Jack Patten as Rob and Lauren McQueen as Marian, with Sean Bean as the formidable Sheriff of Nottingham, Lydia Peckham as Priscilla of Nottingham, Steven Waddington as the Earl of Huntingdon, and Connie Nielsen as Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine.
