Battleship will be helmed by Peter Berg who has previously directed Hancock and The Kingdom and is to be based around the Hasbro board game that has been played for years! According to Wikipedia, it was invented invented by Clifford Von Wickler in the early 1900s. I wonder if he ever thought his simple idea would be turned into a movie!
Plot: “Battleship,” takes place across the seas, over the skies and land in a battle for planet survival against a superior force
The movie is set for release May 25th 2012.
I know that battleship is a board game and I think making a movie out of it are going to be tricky. So… this is quite interesting.
