Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has already been breaking records a month away from its release, with word coming last week that its IMAX release at the BFI IMAX in London had broken pre-sale records with almost half a million dollars’ worth of tickets already sold.
With only a few weeks left to go before it arrives on the big screen, Yahoo Movies have debuted a great little featurette from the film, entitled Origins, in which Scott, writer Damon Lindelof, and some of the cast speak about some of the inspirations for the film and its characters.

The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery.”
Scott has assembled an immense cast for his return to sci-fi, headed up by Logan Marshall-Green, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba, and Patrick Wilson, making it one of the most highly-anticipated projects of the year.
Prometheus will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on 1st June here in the UK, before heading to the US a week later on 8th June.
