It may have kickstarted the next-gen racer battle, but Ridge Racer lost its title as King of the Drifters long ago.
Namco have finally wised up, and they’re back with what looks to be like no Ridge Racer we’ve ever seen before.
The debut trailer shows the familiar face of Ridge’s sultry mascot Reiko wandering through the gritty, grimey streets of an urban alleyway.
She beeps herself into a pimped out sports car and rares off through the streets, taking down anything in her wake.
Namco Bandai have revealed that this is “a more dangerous and wilder” Ridge Racer than any we’ve seen before.
We’re not completely convinced on this first fleeting showing, but we’ll happily reserve judgement until the game starts to takes form.
