Searchlight Pictures has dropped the high-octane first trailer for ‘Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come,’ the long-awaited sequel from directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. Picking up moments after Grace’s blood-soaked escape from the Le Domas mansion, the film wastes no time throwing its resilient heroine back into the fray — only this time, the stakes are unimaginably higher.
Samara Weaving returns as Grace, who discovers that surviving the Le Domas family was just Level One of a brutal, centuries-old game. Now inducted into a deadlier round, she must fight alongside her estranged sister Faith — played by new franchise addition Kathryn Newton — in a hunt that spans far beyond a single cursed estate. Four rival families are vying for the same prize: the High Seat of the Council, a shadowy organisation that secretly controls the world. Whoever claims the throne rules everything. Whoever fails doesn’t leave the board alive.
Joining the sequel’s ensemble are Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, and Elijah Wood, with Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, and filmmaker David Cronenberg rounding out a stacked supporting cast. Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett, hot off ‘Scream VI,’ ‘Abigail,’ and the forthcoming revival of ‘The Mummy’ franchise, return to helm the chaos, with original writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy also back to script.
