A new character poster for the hero himself has been released over at IMP Awards, and it’s pretty excellent. Just the right amount of cute and cuddliness / determination and machismo.
Puss In Boots is directed by Chris Miller (Shrek the Third) and will see,
“the legendary Puss In Boots (Antonio Banderas) going on a heroic journey, teaming up with mastermind Humpty Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis) and the street-savvy Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek) to steal the famed Goose that lays the Golden Eggs.”
I really enjoy the use of adjectives like ‘legendary’ and ‘heroic’ in there, as well as referring to Zach Galifianakis’ character as a ‘mastermind’. Excellent stuff.
There’s a little over a month left to go until it’s released here in the UK on 9th December, but it really looks like it will be worth the wait, and it’s something I think a lot of its target audience are quietly optimistic about.
