After an extended round of directorial musical chairs production on the new X-Men film is finally underway and Hugh Jackman has been spotted on set in New South Wales. It’s true. There are pictures and everything.
James Mangold is directing from a Christopher McQuarrie script (perhaps the only factor which is raising any interest in this one for me) and this film will follow Gavin Hood’s 2009 X-Men Origins: Wolverine film.
Is there a good reason to revisit the clawed one? There are certainly good stories contained in the many comics Wolverine has appeared in but with First Class turning back time, as well as bringing an audience back to the series, is there enough momentum for this film?
