Peter Dinklage and Josh Brolin are to star and produce the new comedy ‘Brothers’ at Legendary Entertainment.

Just from the title alone, you could probably guess where the film’s storyline is going. Brolin and Dinklage will play unlikely brothers in a film that is said to harken tonally to Ivan Reitman’s 1988 Schwarzenegger/DeVito comedy ‘Twins’. Plot specifics, however, are being kept top secret for the time being.

‘Holmes and Watson’ and ‘Tropic Thunder’ scribe, Ethan Cohen will pen the script. Andrew Lazar will produce alongside Brolin who is producing via his shingle, Brolin Productions, and Dinklage through his Estuary Films company. Estuary’s David Ginsberg will also produce.

Dinklage was last seen in ‘My Dinner With Herve’ previously starred with in Brolin in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and is a staple cast member for ‘Game of Thrones’. He will be returning to the series this summer. Upcoming projects include voicing characters in both ‘The Angry Birds Movie 2’ and ‘The Croods 2’ as well as starring in ‘The Thicket’ and ‘The Dwarf’.

Brolin caused mass devastation in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ as Thanos. He will be reprising the role in the soon to be released follow-up ‘Avengers: Endgame’. He is also part of the star-studded cast of Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune’ remake alongside Jason Momoa, Rebecca Ferguson, Timothee Chalamet and more. The actor has also created his own TV series in which he will star, the series is at the moment untitled but its plot follows a soulless movie star named Josh Brolin leaves Hollywood, has an ayahuasca trip and becomes a self-help guru.
