It’s been too long since we last saw The Four Horsemen. And now, in the blink of an eye, they’re all back together for their third outing, Now You See Me, Now You Don’t. But, as ever with J Daniel Atlas and his crew, there’s more to it than meets the eye. Or, to use his words, “the closer you look, the less you see.”
In a globe trotting adventure that sees them on the trail of a fabulous diamond and an equally glamorous crook, they’re joined by three young magicians, who bring attitude, smarts and outrageous skills to the high-stakes mix. One of them is played by Ariana Greenblatt, a familiar face from roles in the likes of Ahsoka, Barbie and Borderlands and a self-confessed fan of the Now You See Me franchise, even if she watched the first two films when she was far too young. The opportunity to be in the threequel was, for her, an instance of “the cards aligning.”
In the exclusive interview below, she talks about spending a month at what she called “magic school” alongside co-stars Justice Smith (I Saw The TV Glow) and Dominic Sessa (The Holdovers). While she became very good at pick pocketing, it was Sessa who developed a real passion for card tricks and “has kept it up ever since.” She also describes how the three of them bonded easily as a group, having dinner together and playing games. And she takes credit for “keeping Dom alive by making him mac ‘n’ cheese almost every night. I’m a master of mac ‘n’ cheese!”
The film’s action sequences placed physical demands on her, especially when she had to wear five inch heels. Greenblatt suffered from terrible blisters. “The guys don’t understand that kind of pain – they say they do, but they don’t. Take after take just destroys your ankles!”

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is in cinemas on 14th November.
