New UK Poster for Robert Pattinson’s Bel Ami

5

Here’s the new UK poster for Robert Pattinson’s Bel Ami. The poster is pretty boring and doesn’t to what we’ve seen from the film but does feature the man from everyone’s favourite vampire movie, Twilight!

The film is helmed by Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod and as well as Pattinson stars Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Christina Ricci, and the fabulous Colm Meaney who I will always remember as Chief O’Brien in Star Trek: The Next Generation or the fighting guy in Far Away!

Bel Ami is the story of Georges Duroy (Pattinson), who travels through 1890s Paris, from cockroach ridden garrets to opulent salons, using his wits and powers of seduction to rise from poverty to wealth, from a prostitute’s embrace to passionate trysts with wealthy beauties, in a world where politics and media jostle for influence, where sex is power and celebrity an obsession.

  1. Are you kidding me? I beg to differ. The poster is far from boring. Since you are a male, though,  I will give you a pass. I just wish that people could talk about his up-coming movies without always mentioning that God-awful Twilight. Bel Ami is rated R and joyfully we will not have to contend with squeeing teens. He is so much more than a heartthrob for young girls. The man will soon be 26. I am looking forward to Bel Ami, but Cosmopolis is the movie that I cannot wait to see. As time goes by,  I hope Twilight will be  mentioned less and less  when discussing Rob’s post-Twilight career.

  2. I’m glad you like it but it just seems to differ completely from everything we’ve seen from the movie so far. Where the trailers are classy and quite dark, this is modern and bright. Doesn’t seem to flow. Maybe ‘boring’ is the wrong word, maybe more out of place.

  3. I have to admit, I see where you are coming from.  I would definitely call the poster modern and more contemporary, in comparison to the trailer. I do think the poster is interesting and that all involved are quite lovely, including Mr. Pattinson, so now I hope you will give me a pass.

  4. I agree. The poster is quite boring, but isn’t the film too? I’m sorry to all the twilight fans but this is a movie i will not see. It’s seems like a waste of time.
