Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises) returns to the big screen in Premium Rush, released in the US tomorrow.

Joining him will be the stars of one of next summer’s biggest blockbusters, Michael Shannon (Man of Steel), and after catching a recent TV spot for the film last week, Sony have released another short look at the adrenaline-fuelled film.

“Dodging speeding cars, crazed cabbies, open doors, and eight million cranky pedestrians is all in a day’s work for Wilee, the best of New York’s agile and aggressive bicycle messengers. It takes a special breed to ride the fixie — super lightweight, single-gear bikes with no brakes and riders who are equal part skilled cyclists and suicidal nutcases who risk becoming a smear on the pavement every time they head into traffic.

But a guy who’s used to putting his life on the line is about to get more than even he is used to when a routine delivery turns into a life or death chase through the streets of Manhattan. When Wilee picks up his last envelope of the day on a premium rush run, he discovers this package is different. This time, someone is actually trying to kill him.”

David Koepp (Spider-Man) returns behind the camera, directing from a script he co-wrote with John Kamps (Ghost Town), with Dania Ramirez, Jamie Chung, and Aasif Mandvi completing the supporting cast.

Premium Rush hits US theatres tomorrow, 24th August, followed by a slightly later release in the UK on 14th September. Then it’s all eyes on Gordon-Levitt’s return in Looper two weeks later on 28th September. It’s going to be an awesome few weeks. Enjoy.
