It’s not a proper Friday night until you’ve got Will Ferrell speaking Spanish in your house and we can oblige thanks to a new trailer for the forthcoming film Casa De Mi Padre.

Ferrell leads the cast which includes Gael Garcia Bernal, Genesis Rodriguez and Diego Luna in a tale of… well, best to check out the trailer as it flashes up titles cards with what you can expect.

It looks nuts and coming from Funny or Die’s Matt Piedmont it’s pretty clear that we’re in for a crazy time. If you want to know more I’m copying in the synopsis from IMDb that’s got the kids talking,

Armando Alvarez (Will Ferrell) has lived and worked on his father’s ranch in Mexico his entire life. As the ranch encounters financial difficulties, Armando’s younger brother Raul (Diego Luna), shows up with his new fiancé, Sonia (Genesis Rodriguez). It seems that Raul’s success as an international businessman means the ranch’s troubles are over as he pledges to settle all debts his father has incurred. But when Armando falls for Sonia, and Raul’s business dealings turn out to be less than legit, all hell breaks loose as they find themselves in a war with Mexico’s most feared drug lord, the mighty Onza (Gael Garcia Bernal).

I’ve watched the trailer a couple of times now and I can’t remember the last time I was promised Cigarettes and Slaps in a film.
