Easy to get lost in the inexhaustible marketing tidal wave for this movie, there’s a lot riding on this one for Shyamalan and Paramount but with many similar tentpoles so far this year doing pretty well at the box office there’s a good chance that The Last Airbender won’t be The Last Airbender movie.

Geez Jon, this movie looks frakkin awesome and you sound so blah blah about it.
I know – I was a bit harsh about it – I think it's partially because I want to see it and I've seen the constant teasing with all the posters, trailers and now some more clips. Partially I'm apathetic about Shyamalan's career now anyway. Hoping this one will prove me wrong.
I have to admit, some of his recent movies have been major let downs, but he's working with some pretty sweet source material for this so I'm very, very hopeful it's going to rock. All indications are that it will so far.
