A brand new batch of official images have been released from the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot, and these are very different to the stills of them suited up and ready for action!
Directed by Paul Feig, this new movie will focus on Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones), Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy), Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig), and Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon).
They can all be seen in their civilian outfits in the gallery below, and each one has a unique style! However, perhaps most interesting is the first official shot of Chris Hemsworth as the team’s secretary, and this is a very different look for the Thor star than we’re used to!
An unofficial plot synopsis for Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters claims that Wiig and McCarthy play a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. Flash forward a few years and Wiig lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia U. Which is pretty sweet, until her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Wiig then reunites with McCarthy and the other two proton pack-packing phantom wranglers, and she gets some sweet revenge when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world.
Ghostbusters is set to be released on July 22nd, 2016. The cast also includes Chris Hemsworth, Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams, Matt Walsh, and Neil Casey as the reboot’s lead villain. What do you think about this new look at the movie? Let us know below.
