More news, on-set photos, video and general buzz continue to pour in as Transformers 3 moves through its shooting schedule.

Michael Bay is currently hard at work in Chicago on the film’s climactic battle sequences, which in an astonishing development look like including a number of large explosions. We posted a number of videos here a few weeks ago and Screenrant have now managed to grab a load more on-set photos, as well as  a short video sequence showing soldiers, debris and, yes, explosions.

We’ve embedded the video and photos below (including a cool new logo) and you can click through this link to read the rest of what Screenrant saw on location, including Shia LaBeouf conferring with his stunt double and cars being lobbed off the top of car parks. Transformers 3 is cracking on with principal photography and is scheduled for a worldwide release on 1st July 2011.

Dave has been writing for HeyUGuys since mid-2010 and has found them to be the most intelligent, friendly, erudite and insightful bunch of film fans you could hope to work with. He's gone from ham-fisted attempts at writing the news to interviewing Lawrence Bender, Renny Harlin and Julian Glover, to writing articles about things he loves that people have actually read. He has fairly broad tastes as far as films are concerned, though given the choice he's likely to go for Con Air over Battleship Potemkin most days. He's pretty sure that 2001: A Space Odyssey is the most overrated mess in cinematic history.
